Ruth Tingay is full of her usual bile in response to the Labour Government throwing out Wild Justice’s latest petition.
In response to the petition, which was the third time Wild Justice had submitted the same proposal, the Labour Party provided an extensive response reinforcing to Tingay the well-known social, economic and environmental benefits brought by driven grouse shooting.
The response outlined by the Labour Government said: “The Government has no plans to ban driven grouse shooting. It recognises well-managed grouse shooting can be an important part of a local rural economy, providing direct and indirect employment….the Government considers that well-managed shooting activities can bring benefits to the rural economy and can be beneficial for wildlife and habitat conservation. We will continue work to ensure a sustainable, mutually beneficial relationship between shooting and conservation.”
Given that this is the third time the petition has been brought forward by Wild Justice you might have expected them to have learnt from their mistakes of the past. But rather than listen to the clear message the policymakers from all political parties have reinforced to them over many years, they display a revolting level of arrogance and hubris that pushes any straight thinking person away from their cause.
As ever, these three grim amigos will shout that everyone else is wrong and only they are right whilst dismissing all those who depend on the uplands for their livelihoods and nature that thrives there as a result of management.
In her usual out of control ‘potty-mouthed’ way, Tingay describes the response from the government as ‘piss-poor’ and ‘pathetic’ before, quite weirdly, quoting long time Have I Got News for You panellist, Ian Hislop.
Before social media people would just ignore the loud mouth shrieking in the corner of a town hall meeting and consider them a nutter; Ruth Tingay’s explicit capitalised keyboard rants have simply become a modern day manifestation of the nutter in the corner and best just ignored.
